As a paid member of the Bluff Hoppers, one of the benefits of membership is participation in the club bulk grain buy. Five base malts have been selected for purchase at bulk rates. If you choose to participate, your order must be placed with Tom, via email or phone call. Orders must be completed and paid in full before the deadline date February 13th. The next bulk grain buy should be within 6 months.

Cargill Two-Row ‘Pale’ $28 for 50 pounds

Using both Metcalfe and Copeland varieties, this classic base malt will provide consistent brewhouse performance for all beer styles.
Color 1.5 – 2.5 L. From US/Canada
Cargill German Pilsner $33 for 55 pounds
Produced at Cargill’s Salzgitter, Germany, tower malt house (with exclusive Pilsner production), using barley from premier growing regions of Germany selected for top malting and brewing performance. You can expect a consistent product batch after batch.
Color 1.4 – 1.8 L, From Germany
Meussdoerffer Vienna $35.75 for 55 pounds
Higher kilning temperatures gives Meussdoerffer Vienna malt its deep golden color and strong malt flavor. Best used in dark lagers and Marzen beer.
Color 2.0 – 3.0 L, From Germany
Dingemans Pale Ale $36.30 for 55 pounds
Dingemans Pale Ale malt is fully modified, kilned longer and more intensively. This malt gives your beer a golden color.
Color 3.8 L, From Belgium
Warminster Floor Malted Maris Otter $39.60 for 55 pounds
Maris Otter, the malting barley variety revered by brewers for the production of traditional cask ales, floor malted for preferred flavor and performance.
